Welcome to the December 23, 2006 edition of carnival of powerful living…the last edition of 2006!

Thank you all for your incredible work.  This is a very important time of the year for many, many people.  The holidays are a time of connecting, celebrating, and looking ahead.  As the clock runs out on 2006, I wish you all a healthy, happy, and prosperous holiday.  If you do nothing else during this time, I implore you all to try to do this one, small thing…

Stop.

Stop running.  Stop worrying about what comes next.  Stop spinning around and trying to keep up with life.  Stop fearing, controlling, strategizing, and hoping.  Just stop and be with other people.  Be present, if only for a moment.  Life is a gift that deserves to be honored.  The way human beings honor the gift of life is simply by being present.

Happy Holidays,

Erek
